The main goal of this book is helping us to realize that philosophy is a human activity, as working and shopping, and that we have need of doing it, in order to live better, to live real and authentic lives. And authentic life requires basic trues, these ones that give sense to everything else. The human search for these basic trues, in everyone's circumstances, is called philosophy. This search happens with emotions, with fears, with memories,...it is not a mere intellectual exercise. There is vital reason to do it.It is difficult writing a summary of such a complex, and fascinating, book but one would expect after reading it that you should be able, at least, to:
